Where to Find Local Bay Area Landscape Photos

Every few months, clients show interest in using a photo on their homepage slideshow of the city they have their business in. In their mind’s eye, there is an iconic shot of what that city is known for that would be perfect….and free. But that is not as easy as it may seem. There are many photos for free as well as to purchase rights to of the biggest cities in the country. Smaller cities may be beautiful and there are plenty of photographers taking those shots, but evidently not many are selling rights to these less iconic spots to stock photo companies.

Using a broader stroke, I have compiled some more generalized free images that would be great for a SF Bay Area website. For some of the more specific shots of Livermore, Walnut Creek, Napa…Adobe Stock Photography has a few available for licensing. See some of the Adobe shots with links at the bottom.
