Kate Carmichael

Kate Carmichael, CF-SLP, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology. She received her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College.

Prior to entering the field of speech-language pathology, Kate worked in education, first as a preschool teacher and then as a reading specialist paraprofessional in a local elementary school.

Kate’s graduate studies included multiple clinical internships at private practices and at an elementary school. Her therapy experience is primarily focused in the areas of expressive and receptive language, articulation, autism, and literacy development.

Kate is committed to providing meaningful treatment sessions tailored to each child’s needs and interests. She enjoys collaborating with families to help children develop the skills and confidence to effectively communicate in their daily lives. In her spare time, Kate enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
