Carol Gavilan, MS, OTR/L graduated from AT Still University in Mesa, AZ with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of California, Merced. Carol first developed experience in working with children when training at California Children Services as well as school and private outpatient settings. She was a student intern right here at Therapy At Play where she was able to gain experience working with children of all ages with various conditions including ADHD, Autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorders, developmental delays, and cerebral palsy. She also has experience in sub-acute settings that have shaped her clinical reasoning skills and provided her with a background in medical knowledge. Carol enjoys developing client-centered treatment plans and working closely with families to provide the best care for her patients and long-term success in their everyday life. She is able to offer therapy sessions in Spanish or English.

Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending time with her family, fiance, and friends traveling, and trying new food spots! She also likes to hike and stay active on the weekends.
